April is recognised as Couples Appreciation Month: a time to pause, reflect, and celebrate the beautiful bond between you and your partner.
It’s a chance to move beyond the day-to-day and intentionally nurture your connection with compliments, appreciation, and gratitude.
Let’s transform your intentions into action by expressing gratitude and deepening intimacy through simple, thoughtful gestures. Whether it’s leaving a surprise love note, planning a spontaneous date night, or reminiscing about your favourite shared memory, every small act brings you closer and helps you reconnect.
To help you make the most of this month, we’ve created a 10-Day Couples Appreciation Challenge that’s sweet, playful, and designed to bring you closer one day at a time.
The 10-Day Couples Appreciation Challenge

You don’t have to complete these in a row. Just choose 10 days in April to connect with your partner and express appreciation your way, or using the ideas below.
Fancy a little help staying on track? Download the printable Couples Appreciation Challenge Guide. It’s perfect for turning the challenge into a daily ritual and keeping it top of mind.
10 days. 10 actions. Let the play begin.
Day 1: The Compliment Drop

Tell your partner three things you genuinely adore about them.
Bonus points if you whisper it in their ear 😘
Examples:
• “You light up any room you walk into.”
• “You’re so thoughtful—it’s one of my favourite things about you.”
• “You look ridiculously sexy in that T-shirt.”
Day 2: Thank You for the Little Things

Say thank you for something they always do but you rarely mention.
Think: making tea, checking in on you, warming up your side of the bed.
Examples:
• “Thank you for always remembering how I take my coffee.”
• “I really appreciate how you charge my phone without saying a word.”
• “Thanks for listening to me vent the other day. I felt so supported.”
Day 3: Love Note in Disguise

Hide a note where they’ll find it under their pillow, in a coat pocket, or on the fridge.
Make it cheeky, sweet, or sexy.
Examples:
• “You + me + tonight = 🔥”
• “I’m so lucky I get to do life with you.”
• “Turn me on like you turn on the kettle.”
Day 4: Memory Lane

Share your favourite memory of the two of you together.
Then recreate part of it: a song, a dish, a scent, a look.
Examples:
• Play the song you first danced to and slow-dance in the kitchen.
• Cook the meal from your first date.
• Spray the perfume/cologne you wore when you met and see if they notice.
Day 5: Do Their Thing

Take over a task they usually do and say: “This is my thank you for all the invisible things you do.”
Examples:
• Walk the dog even if it’s their usual job.
• Run errands for them so they can relax.
• Make the bed and leave a little chocolate on the pillow.
Day 6: Appreciation Text Bomb

Send them five surprise messages throughout the day.
Mix it up: flirty, funny, grateful, wild, romantic.
Examples:
• “Can’t stop thinking about your smile this morning.”
• “Just a reminder: you’re sexy and smart.”
• “You make my heart (and other parts 😏) so happy.”
Day 7: Appreciation Their Way
Ask: “What’s something that would make you feel really appreciated tonight?”
Then do that with enthusiasm.
Examples:
• Give them a long hug or cuddle without distractions.
• Offer a massage just how they like it.
• Let them vent about work without interrupting and then bring wine.
Day 8: Words of Desire

Tell them one thing you find irresistibly attractive about their body, energy, or presence.
Say it slowly. Let it land.
Examples:
• “The way you walk across the room…I swear it gets me every time.”
• “Your voice does things to me.”
• “You make me feel things with just one look.”
Day 9: Grateful for You

List five things you’re grateful for about them and say it out loud.
Even better? Say one thing you’re grateful for about you as a couple.
Examples:
• “I’m grateful for how safe you make me feel.”
• “I’m grateful for your patience when I’m all over the place.”
• “I’m grateful we still laugh like teenagers together.”
Day 10: The Intimacy Menu

Each of you write down three things you’d like to explore emotionally or physically.
Share one tonight. Try it out, slowly and playfully.
Examples:
• “I’d love more slow mornings in bed, just talking.”
• “I want to try more sensual touch without a goal.”
• “Let’s watch a steamy scene and see where it takes us…”
A Little Appreciation Goes a Long Way
Relationships thrive when we feel seen, supported, and desired. This month, let love be intentional and playful.
You don’t need a special occasion to celebrate your partner. But Couples Appreciation Month is the perfect excuse to start.
